Christian Munevar, DVM, DACVO, Board-certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist, joined VEI Upland in 2024.
Dr. Munevar graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of California, Davis. He completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Munevar completed an ophthalmology residency at the Animal Eye Center Rocklin.
Dr. Munevar has contributed to veterinary publication articles, including Acremonium and Trichosporon Fungal Keratoconjunctivitis in a Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis Macularius) and Vision Outcomes in Dogs With Primary Glaucoma Surgically Treated With Lensectomy and Endolaser Cyclophotocoagulation After an Ahmed Valve Gonioimplantation Failure.
Christian Munevar has a special interest in corneal surgery and gonioimplant surgery. His favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is assisting general practitioners with their most challenging eye cases. He also enjoys educating clients and general practitioners about veterinary ophthalmology.
In his free time, Dr. Christian Munevar enjoys martial arts (Taekwondo) and is learning to box.
